Journal Entry 2
Adding the task from second practicals.
Could prove a bit challenging but attached video shows it can be done without taking a hit.
Taken time: 2hrs
I believe I used most of the things from the tutorials. I hope I have satisfied the requirements -> they have been a little vague as to the scale.
I honestly didn't expect this course to be this... artisty? In comparison to Introduction to Gameplay programming. But I assume that it makes sense.
I am finding Unity to be way more artist friendly in comparison to Godot. Which is a compliment by the way.
Haven't figured out how the moving platform keeps the player attached to itself, because I tried to make the button do the same thing (its on the moving platform but the player doesn't stick -> which makes the level more challenging but I don't really like it. )
Also the moving platform is hard to copy on a different part of its path (the preview slider is just a preview slider.) so the second platform is there added manualy (with which I am not content.) also the other nodes positions are (understandably) in positions relative to the inital one so you cannot just swap out coordinates of the nodes when you want to change the initial position. Also it is impossible to reshuffle nodes which would be handy. (I guess thats up to me to fix in script.)
Also the message post is sorta weird -> haven't figured out where the example scene stores the text and there are multiple places which would be fitting for it but the example scene doesn't seem to use either. Funily enough there is a sample text in the textBox and when in Play mode you interect with the message post it changes to the text thats supposed to be there. Whence it came I don't know.
